ATU Local 113 Subway Operator at Wilson Division Tests Positive for COVID-19

Sisters and Brothers,

We received unfortunate news today that an ATU Local 113 member, a subway operator from the Wilson Division, has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

I spoke with the member today who is recovering at home. I wished them a full and quick recovery on behalf of all ATU Local 113 members.

The member’s last shift was on Thursday, May 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The member was tested on Saturday, May 16 and received the positive test result on Sunday, May 17.

This member’s diagnosis marks the 38th ATU Local 113 member who has tested positive for COVID-19. Nine TTC employees who are not ATU Local 113 members have also tested positive, bringing the total number of TTC employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 to 47.

I spoke with the member today who is recovering at home. I wished them a full and quick recovery on behalf of all ATU Local 113 members.

The member’s last shift was on Friday, May 8 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The member received the positive test results on Thursday, May 14.

This member’s diagnosis marks the 37th ATU Local 113 member who has tested positive for COVID-19. Eight TTC employees who are not ATU Local 113 members have also tested positive, bringing the total number of TTC employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 to 45.

ATU Local 113 Invites Members to Participate in Virtual Information Session on Sunday, May 24

Sisters and Brothers,

ATU Local 113 will be hosting a virtual information session for members through Zoom on Sunday, May 24 at 10 a.m. Members can register at the link below by providing their full name, email address, badge number and work location.

Please note that the cut off time for registration is 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. You must submit any questions you may have when you register.

After registering, members will receive a confirmation email from Zoom with their secure personalized link. They will be able to participate by clicking that link at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 24.

For security reasons, only computer access will be allowed. There will be no option to phone in to the webinar.

We received unfortunate news today that an ATU Local 113 member, a bus operator from Arrow Road, has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

I spoke with the member today who is recovering at home. I wished them a full and quick recovery on behalf of all ATU Local 113 members.

The member’s last shift was on Saturday, May 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The member got tested on Tuesday, May 12 and received the test result on Thursday, May 14.

We received unfortunate news today that an ATU Local 113 member, a bus operator from Malvern, has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

I spoke with the member today who is doing well and recovering at home. I wished them a full and swift recovery on behalf of all ATU Local 113 members.

The member’s last shift was on Friday, May 8 from approximately 5:40 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. The member developed symptoms after their shift and received the positive test result on Thursday, May 14.

ATU Local 113 Wheel-Trans Operator Tests Positive for COVID-19

We received the unfortunate news today that an ATU Local 113 member, a Wheel-Trans Operator, has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

I spoke with the member, who is doing well and recovering at home. We all wish them a full and quick recovery.

The member’s last shift was on Thursday, May 7, from 3:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The member did not develop symptoms but received a test on Monday, May 11 because a family member had tested positive. The member received a positive test result on Wednesday, May 13.

ATU Local 113 to Participate in Panel Featuring Frontline Workers on May 13

On May 13 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., ATU Local 113 member Ed Cunningham will participate in an online panel with other frontline workers to discuss their experiences working during the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic is a historic moment, and workers are being seen with a new reverence and respect. We want to make sure we capture our members’ stories, to make sure no one forgets the sacrifices they are making. A big thanks to the Toronto Labour Council and the Broadbent Institute for organizing the panel.
