Congratulations to Mayor Chow!

On behalf of ATU Local 113’s Executive Board and members, we would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Toronto’s Mayor, Olivia Chow who was sworn in this morning.

Two weeks ago, Torontonians chose to vote for change and today marks the beginning of that new chapter for the City of Toronto.

We look forward to working with Mayor Chow on improving public transit through investment in service, expansion, safety, and protecting our transit workers and transit riders.

Under her leadership, we are confident that transit will be a priority.

On National Indigenous Peoples Day, ATU Local 113’s Board and Members would like to acknowledge and celebrate the cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

ATU Local 113 Shop Steward Mohsin Patel and volunteers helped get out the vote for advanced polls. The Toronto by-election advanced polls close tomorrow, June 13.

ATU Local 113 and Toronto Public Library Workers CUPE 4948 will be hosting a Labour Canvas for Olivia Chow on Tuesday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Abbott Cafe. Come show your support for public workers and get ready to vote on June 26!
