Sisters and Brothers,

Every year on April 28, the National Day of Mourning, ATU Local 113 remembers and honours all workers – including public transit workers who have lost their lives or been injured on the job.

Given the challenging and unprecedented circumstances we find ourselves in this year, this day has never been more important.

While we commemorate those among us who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives; and those who suffer as a result of workplace-related injuries or illnesses, we’re renewing our commitment to keeping all ATU Local 113 members safe. Now more than ever, we all have a responsibility to look out for one another and have each other’s back.

In solidarity,

Carlos Santos
President, ATU Local 113
