Applicants must complete the two-step process, in order to be considered for the Scholarship.

The John Lorimer Scholarship is available to the children, stepchildren, and legally adopted children of active and/or retired members in good standing of ATU Local 113. To be eligible for a scholarship, each applicant must:
- Be graduating from Grade 12 in 2025, and advancing to a post-secondary education program (University or College/Trade/Technical School)
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary education program and have not previously received a scholarship from Local 113.
Post-Secondary (University) Up to 38 scholarships of $1,500 each will be awarded to eligible applicants based on the average of their six highest Grade 12 academic marks as recorded on their Ontario School Transcript issued by the Ministry of Education. Applicants must be attending a post-secondary university in September 2025.
Post-Secondary (College/Trade/Technical school) – Two scholarships of $1,500 each will be awarded to eligible applicants based on the average of their six highest Grade 12 academic marks as recorded on their Ontario School Transcript issued by the Ministry of Education. Applicants must be attending a post-secondary college, trade, or technical school in September 2025.

Online Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, July 2, 2025 – 11:59 P.M. (EST).
Application Process: Step 2
Applicants must email a PDF copy of their Ministry of Education – Ontario School Transcript to scholarships@atu113.net (no other forms of marks will be accepted ie. report cards, screenshot of courses etc.).
Transcripts must be submitted by deadline of Friday, July 25, 2025 – 11:59 P.M. (EST).
Applications and marks not received by the deadlines will be disqualified.
