ATU Local 113 unequivocally condemns anti-Black racism and racism in all its forms. The reported incidents at TTC workplaces are deeply disturbing, shameful and unacceptable. It is a stark reminder that racism remains a serious concern.
We stand with our Black members and all workers affected by racism. We take acts of racism with the utmost seriousness and will continue to advocate for our members.
We expect the TTC to investigate these allegations, including how complaints were handled, and take meaningful action to address the findings fully and thoroughly. Workers must be able to raise concerns knowing they will be taken seriously and protected from retaliation.
Racism should have no place at the TTC – or any workplace. Every worker deserves a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and intimidation.
