Sisters and Brothers,
Today, ATU Local 113 joins other unions and transit groups to recognize the hard work of our members and all public transit workers across Canada on Transit Worker Appreciation Day.
We know things have been tough for public transit workers during the pandemic, but our work has never been more important. When the coronavirus pandemic hit in March, it was us who kept our communities moving. It was public transit workers who got essential workers to hospitals, grocery stores, pharmacies and nursing homes – services all Canadians rely on.
So thank you. Thank you to all ATU Local 113 members for keeping Toronto moving during these challenging times. #thanktransit
In solidarity,
– President Carlos Santos
