It’s sad but true. TTC staff are sometimes assaulted in the course of doing their jobs. As well, passengers are sometimes assaulted.

Assaults can be physical (punching, slapping, spitting, kicking, throwing objects, and so on) or verbal (threats and intimidation).

If assaulters think they could be reported by other passengers, many will refrain from the assault. Your assistance will help reduce the number of future assaults. You will be helping make Toronto’s public transit system a safer place for all.

If you have seen an assault against a member of the TTC staff or a passenger and the assaulter got away, please call Toronto Crimestoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477). Or go to the Crimestoppers website.
