The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 113 represents over 9,000 men and women who operate and maintain North America’s third largest public transit system (after those in New York City and Mexico City.)

We also represent 170 bus Operators of Veolia Transportation in York Region, just north of the City of Toronto.

Our members are highly skilled bus, streetcar and subway Operators, Collectors, Cleaning Staff and Maintenance workers with literally hundreds of specialties.

We are a democratic union, with officers and an executive board elected by the membership every three years.

While most of our members were born in Canada, a large and growing proportion are immigrants from over 70 countries.
